It’s always rather hectic getting to Venice with all your cases and, as you know, there are no cars so it’s Shanks’s pony all the way! – and there are plenty of bridges ... however, if you do as we suggest you’ll find it much easier: in fact, we're Venetians and we know what to do!
You can buy what they call a VeniceCard which means you have discount on public transport and for visiting museums. You’ll have a map of the ferry boat lines and their routes.
You can buy a 3-day pass for the major ferry boat stops in Venice at Marco Polo airport. It's only worth buying if you know you’re going to use the ferry boats a lot and you go to the Lido or Murano. Normally you visit Venice walking down calli and campielli.
Our booking confirmation letter also explains how you can reach the flat from Santa Lucia station, Marco Polo airport or Piazzale Roma plus telephone numbers to contact our staff if you need to.
You can leave the car in the car park near Mestre Railway Station and then take the train to Venice or leave it in Venice, on the Tronchetto island, or in the municipal garage in Piazzale Roma, much more expensive. Click on the parcheggi comunali (town car parks link) for more information.
You will meet up with one of our staff in a certain part of the city who will give you the keys, ask you to sign the check-in sheet and to pay the deposit. You can speak in English quite freely as our people are all bilingual and they will show you all the details of the flat and answer any questions you may have. You will be meeting a person so you must let us know exactly when you will be arriving in Venice and, during your journey, notify us if you are going to be late (which may not necessarily be your fault) and then you will be given a mobile phone number for any necessities and you will kindly give us yours as well. There’s nothing more frustrating than having to wait hours on end for a client who ought to be arriving but who has got lost and cannot be gotten hold of! To avoid this happening we will, of course, give you detailed information and maps on how to get there: we get no enjoyment leaving you on your own in a strange place.

No, our staff sees to that. The only thing we ask you to do is clean the crockery (plates, glasses, saucepans, etc.) and throw the rubbish away, always outside in the road in the morning at 8am every day except Sunday, never on the landing or on the stairs.

Venice overflows with little shops and you’ll see one wherever you look. For fashion go to Calle XXII Marzo. But there many small supermarkets and bakeries where you can do your shopping without being ripped off .... during check-in, one of our staff will show you a map of the area around your flat with the nearest supermarkets and restaurants.
The flat must be left free by 10.30 am on the day of your departure.
You can leave it at the Venice train station luggage deposit. Unfortunately, once you have given back the keys you will not be able to return to the flat so you cannot leave your luggage there.
